Abstract

Nicola Nicolini, a great criminal lawyer, pupil of Pagano, was one of the main protagonists of Neapolitan Codification( 1819) . He had an historicist formation; he attempted to argue a gradual, but at the same time, substantial development of the law and of the criminal proceeding. He also supported the constitutional experiment in 1820 and the adoption of Cadiz model in which he found the basic tool fordismantling the structure of absolutist system and a progressive trasformation in favor of liberal ideas.
